“Don’t aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.” - Victor Frankl
In this picture, one might think I "succeeded" in finding balance in a headstand while surfing however, I view it as successful in finding joy and laughter while challenging the norm.
I have questioned success as the pursuit of power, position, money, materialism, fame, and influence for quite some time. Can you imagine a world in which our life pursuit was to serve and love others rather than gain for ourselves? Challenge yourself to change from the norm and see what joy and success you find there.
